“We welcome you to our restaurant and invite you to read a little about our history.
I have an Italian father as a chef; my fondest memories are of playing with the pizza dough in his restaurant.
As a child, I spent my vacations with my grandmother Silvia in Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige. Like my father, I found my grandmother’s traditional Italian cuisine interesting and delicious. Her kitchen became my favourite place and cooking was the most exciting part of my childhood days.
We would go to the local food markets; all the smells, colours, tastes and fresh ingredients totally fascinated me. I knew then what I wanted to do with my life - I wanted to be a chef.
Graduation could not come fast enough, and I travelled around northern Italy working in some fantastic kitchens, learning every day and honing my craft.
After I met my partner Alex, who had experience in hotel management, we decided to go into business together.
We are now delighted to welcome you to our restaurant styled as a Tuscan villa, Villa d’Este, which has been lovingly renovated over six months by a close team of family and friends.
We are proud to be supplied daily with fresh fish and carefully selected, authentic Italian produce for you to enjoy. Our wine list has been compiled by ourselves after visiting vineyards all over Italy to reflect my roots, the grape varieties and pairings we personally enjoy.
